Can any of you wonderful folks give me any insight on this bruise please??? It showed up out of nowhere late Friday night. Here's more to me being a medical mystery. All these fucking weird ass symptoms show up and none of these half ass "educated" Dr's can give me an explanation without giving me lame excuses. Please excuse my language but I am at my witts end with all this fucking shit. I cannot take anymore.
Bruising is a very common symptom of lupus. I have had my whole life and didn't have any explanation from doctors either, until diagnosed. The only thing that truly helped with the bruising when I was young was doing exercise. Now my bruising is because I'm on anticoagulants too.
Sorry to hear you are being bombarded with symptoms. Even when you are in remission in regards to blood works, it doesn't mean your body is calm under the surface. Try to avoid freaking out and getting stressed as these tend to worsen the flares. Hugs to you!
About the miscarriage , you should go to the emergency.
Thank you so much for your response but I'm also very emotional bc I found out today I'm also going to have a miscarriage I think a missed miscarriage bc I should be 10 weeks according to my last menstrual period and I'm only measuring 6 weeks. I am terribly upset. I wasn't trying to get pregnant but I welcome any and all blessings from God. I've had many losses how come no dr can diagnose me?? I've had skin involvement with itchy rashes, malar rash, photosensitivity rash, my hair falls out in clumps, my kidney function has dropped down to 30% and I was in acute kidney failure with tubular necrosis caused from chronic kidney disease- when I peed it looked like I dumped a can of coke into the toilet just a little darker, I've had such severe skin involvement that I needed a skin biopsy to test me for dermatomyositis which came back inconclusive but the dermatologist said she didn't care bc she still thinks I have it. Then I was really anemic and only took the iron pills for 2 weeks and it made me so sick that my dr said I could stop taking it. Then 3 months later I had the exact opposite problem- my iron saturation level is 97% and my serum level is 389 and it's supposed to cap out at 170 so then I got referred to an oncologist/ hematologist to test me for hemochromatosis and the results are negative. I let my rheumy know that my aunt has hemophilia with a factor 8 deficiency and I'd like to be tested for it.
I had 2 molars on my bottom right surgically extracted and the dentist cut me open with active infection and the infection spread to my jaw bone, then I ended up with a double dry socket in the molars that were removed. Then my body had a bitch fit, I bled for 2 days after surgery, then I became anemic, then I started having problems all over my body. It took me 5 months to heal from the molar removal. Then I still felt like shit so I went to the dr and told them what I had going on and then asked them if they would scan me. The results were I had an enlarged spleen, diverticulosis and several cysts on both my ovaries. Someone please help me. I'm gonna lose my mind. Tia!!
I had a similar bruise that I took a pic of and sent to my rheumatologist. I saw her a week later, and it had changed very little. However, she stated that individuals with Lupus tend to bruise, and sometimes bleed, easier. This could be from the inflammation already in our bodies, but also because of the medications that we take to try and control the symptoms. I am unsure if this truly explains the answer for you, but this is most definitely a part of the disease. I’m truly sorry about your frustration, and I hope you get a little better there soon. Ice helped me.
I have constant brusing on my legs, my rheumy told me that it was symptom of the condition. I get little bruises, and big and sometimes ones that become permanent. I also get bumps on my arms that leave permanent marks. My rheumy doesnt have any answers besides it being a symptom but my anemia may play some parts. However, theres been times when my levels have been normal but still bruised. Not too much you can really do about it
