I would work because I needed my income at the time. I took Coricidin HBP Cold & Flu which helps me tons as well as I drink generic Pedialyte because it is cheaper than the name brand. I put it over ice and it takes away a lot of the aches and pains as well as replaces the electrolytes that seem to deplete when I have this type fever. I always have these two items on hand.

I rest during a flare. Im all about listen to your body. Push limits when you can. Take care of yourself when you need to.

I ran a 99.0 fever off an on during a flare up, was very tired and joints hurt. My Dr. told me to take two to three days off and rest. As working as a Pharmacy Tech and with patients with Diabetes and Respiratory. When coming to this Company I told them up front about my condition and there would be times I would be calling off. Human Resources had me fill out a paper and signed by my Dr. called a FMLA, the company cannot fire you over your health situation, if you are a good employee and have no marks against you, you are safe.
There were times I went to work and felt fine a few hours later. It's very hard to judge what is happening, go to work and if a few hrs. later you still terrible, ask to go home. Hope this helps you!!! Feel better soon!!!
