Hi, everyone, In reading some our fellow lupies’ profiles I see that many have a combination of autoimmune diseases. I ask because my ANA came positive speckled pattern. The report listed several AI diseases that are “associated” with the speckled pattern. How do drs test for the individual diseases to determine a combination? ☺️
I was watching the Tamron Hall show and she had a interesting article about Medical Gaslighting.
My PCP manages all of my other drs. He makes sure to keep track of everyone. They all send in the reports to him. He manages everything. I may have 100 docs but my PCP is the main doc.
I have lupus, osteoporosis, hypothyroidism, cardiac issues from lupus and Lord kmows what else that hasnt quite been pin pointed. My rheumatologist is the driver with many issues. Im grateful that ALL OF MY Dr's communicate. So there isnt any further issues. Sorry to tell you that AI disorders are the hardest to differentiate and diagnose
I think the DNA helps to specify .
My pcp alao gets every report or pharmacy changes as well. Generally most hospitals send all records to pcp's and now that everything is electronic it is easier for doctors to see what others have ordered or done.
How do I explain my burnouts to my friends who don't understand the issues with autoimmune diseases?
