I get UTI'S out of nowhere at least 4 or more times a year. I saw at urologist and he wanted to put me on antibiotic to take every other day. At the time I said no. But i think I need to make an appointment and revisit the issue. Anyone else with this problem and how to get it things resolved?
I agree with Acadia, Im a stage 3 kidney disease. I have one functioning kidney
born that way. but anyway. yes drink water, cranberry juice. powerade, gatorade.
something with electrolytes in it. stay away from alot of citric acid drinks like Orange juice. sodas, a lot of caffeine. Sausages. My Kidney doctor told me when I was 9 yrs old what was not good and what was. Im 49 now. If you have an infection you might need to take the antibiotics to get rid of it. and to keep it away just make it apart of your daily life. Eat and drink the things that will help you.
My Dr told me I keep getting UTIs because my immune system.is keeping the antibiotics from cleaning out all the bacteria. That is why they want you on a constant antibiotic. But I also said no. For now she said ok and to make sure to pee as soon as I feel it because holding your pee can cause uti's. She also said drink cranberry juice, lots of water, and only wear cotton panties, they're better for you. Good luck!
I have painful bladder with interstitial cystitis (no infections, usually) it feels like it's a horrible UTI. I'm assuming your tests come back positive for infection...but if they aren't, you could be like me. Hopefully not. Good luck my friend. I hope you find some relief
Drink more water and cranberry juice helps in some instances.
I use AZO as well and it works
