Akinsmom2,
I'm sorry for what you went through (& go through).
I did 8 years of pharm drugs, that some RA's swore
would get rid of all my diseases, & it all made me want
to die, so I quit & started eating really good food &
I rarely get flares, I got my bubbly personality back YAY.
God bless everyone always; we are all so different.

I was on it for 6 months and I kept feeling like my lung was collapsed and I would go to stand up and it was like I couldn’t I was hunched over and when I talked it was like a grunt, I had gotten sick when it happen last time and i left work with emergency room and they done a scan that revealed a 10mm nodule on my lower lobe of my lung. I had to wait two lo bc weeks after being told this for a pet scan to determine if it was cancer thank goodness it was not and stopping the medicine the nodule started shrinking and side effect subsided

Hi Sara, I hope you will find some relief for the facial mask. I haven't experienced it. I am only taking Azathoprine (Imuran) for the lupus inflammation. I had side effects on the hydroxychloroquin and colchisine, so discontinued using them. I think your Dr. Was talking about Methotrexate. I will go back to the rheum in a couple of weeks to see if the Azathoprine is working or if I will be trying something different. Hope your facial pain subsides soon.

I am sorry you are going through this - mine never hurts or burns just looks terrible. Everyone used to tease me because they thought it was from drinking wine but then quickly realized that it was not. I am sure your rheumatologist or dermatologist could prescribe a cream that will help the pain.
