I was just diagnosed with scleroderma with lung involvement. Diagnosed SLE 20 years ago, I'm 61 and have done well on Plaquenil and Prednisone until now. Dr put me in Cellcept and Amlodipine and I go for a pulmonary function test soon. I have Gerd and lots of GI issues. Prayers for all.

Your very welcome! I've got a lot of GI problems they told me I've gastroparasis but hearing your story makes me wonder if it could be scleroderma. Thanks for sharing your story with me. Have a blessed night!

My GI thought I had a condition called achalasia which causes swallowing difficulties, distended esophagus, acid reflux and chest pains. I had a swallowing test, barum swallow and a special endoscopy endo flip. All pointed to achalasia. So he had plan to do a surgery that would cut the spinter in esophagus so that my food would go down. When he went in he discovered that the problem was not achalasia but was due to Scleroderma so he stopped the surgery So that is why I was asking if anyone had Scleroderma. It was frightening. So I ask my Rheumatologist to test me and it came back negative. Thank goodness but I hope the test is not false negative. I am so happy to hear you only have the one problem with it. I was diagnosed with Lupus Sle 3 years ago after a Tia by my neurologist. Up until now I have been doing good. I too am having a lot all flares and kidney disease. Plaquenil of course and now I am on prednisone for a few days. ๐Ÿ™‚
Please let me know how you do with Imran if you are willing. Take care.๐Ÿ™‚

I have scleroderma along with my Lupus, so far the only thing that is going on with me is little red spots on my fingers. I've had Lupus since 1984, I'm 57 and done really well with my Lupus since 1996 I was put on plaquenil its worked really well for me, until this yr, I'm having lot of joint pain and swelling, my doctor told me yesterday she wants me to try Imran with the plaquenil, I'm not to crazy about doing it, got to find out about it first and want to see how it works for other people. What is going on with you and the Scleroderma? Sending prayers your way.
