I have multiple joints that ache and pop with severe pain, brain fog, rashes, nerve pain. The pain moves around. The only consistency is shoulder and hand pain. My current rheumatologist doesn't listen anymore. Refuses to acknowledge swollen fingers (says it's water retention from salt intake, without asking about my diet), blames my pain on anxiety (which I don't have), depression (but how can I not have it) and my weight (5'6" & 170 lbs.). Can you ask your PCP for a recommendation? They usually know the docs in the area. I am so sorry you are going through this. There are definitely good ones out there and bad ones. Go get one that listens to you. Hugs and prayers.

My Rheum Dr. Discharged me without my knowledge! I only found out when my labs needed renewal. She also prescribed my 2 x yr meds for osteoporosis. I'm calling my GP for assistance. Hopefully he'll help me out

Hi Dezire072017,
Thank you for the recommendation. Problem is, she is in the same practice as my current doctor. When I called, they told me I have to stop seeing my current doctor for 6 months before I can ask for a 2nd opinion from Dr Herath. 🤐

I agree with you! You definitely need a new Rheumatologist. I had to do the same thing. My first rheumatologist was treating me for RA but refused to acknowledge the lupus, fibromyalgia or any other pain. I found out after switching that I also have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. I'm in constant pain but different levels of pain. I'm not in PA or I would recommend where I am going. Best of luck to you.

That's my goal and the reason I asked for recommendations. Do you know anyone in the area?
