I'm tired of being dismissed. All these years of chronic pain I've never taken a pain medication...I've suffered so I could get proper medical care without being treated like I'm seeking pain meds.. which happens anyway even despite me never taking them. The pain I endure every single day for so long I can't remember would probably be completely debilitating to lost regular folks. It hurts so bad most days I just feel nauseous.

Go to a good pain management Dr they won't judge you like that

Talk to your Rheumatologist about the possibility of low-dose Naltrexone for fibro. It made a shockingly huge difference for me personally. If your Rheumy doesn't know about it, or dismisses it as quack-medicine, there is an online Doctor who will prescribe it for you. However my Rheumatologist knew all about it & agreed to give it a try. I did not realize how much of my pain was fibro until I tried low-dose-Naltrexone (usually 3-4.5 mg at night, very low dose).

I keep being told I’ve got fibromyalgia. I take pain killers for back and hip pain but they don’t touch the fibro. I wish I could find something to help

I have both lupus and fibro....Have a wonderful pain doc who listens...After trial and error he put me on Tramadol for the fibro....What an effective drug....with no side effects like fatigue, etc...Please ask about it
Also a pain journal is so effective....It helps you explain to the doc instead of just blathering (that would be me!!)..Seriously, they find it so helpful...Sometimes I gather my symptoms from the journal and type it out so he can read it.
I pray you get relief for the fibro...i also use Robaxin at bedtime for FM...That med does make me sleepy hence using it only at bedtime...Susan
