Does anyone have trouble with their speech? Sometimes I just can’t find the words. But there are other times my words just don’t come out right or come out slurred. I tried the other day to say something 3 times and still couldn’t get it right, it kept coming out slurred. I’ve seemed to notice my eye twitching picks up a lot more on the days my speech is more impaired as well.
When we are very fatigued and suffering from brain fog, we don't think as clearly, and our speech can become more challenging due to difficult word-finding--something I think most of us including me experience at times. The slurring of the speech is something worth discussing with your rheumatologist, as it may indicate something more going on, and maybe a neurologist's input also. I don't think there's cause for alarm, as long as it's intermittent and there's no associated numbness, weakness, or vision loss. But it's not something that I (as an internal medicine doc) think should be ignored.
Hope that helps and that everyone's having a good day!
Yes, yes, and yes.
It is not often, but when it happens it can be annoying and anxiety inducing which only seems to make it worse.
I have found some possible relief through improved sleep quality and L-theanine supplements.
You might want to ask your Docs about it.
Yes
