I have struggled with allergies my entire life. I took allergy shots when I was a child. I have been taking hydroxychloroquine for 18 months. I had skin allergy tests yesterday and they ALL were negative! How is that possible. Has anyone else had this experience or have any insight?

It seems possible since allergies are an immune system response (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) and Hydroxychloroquine is an immune suppressant. Now that I think of it, I only take allergy meds in the height of spring since I went on it...hm. 🤔 How's your day going on this Thankful Thursday?

Allergies can disappear over time, and I've occasionally seen this in my patients. Plaquenil is an immunomodulator and it's possible it's had an effect. Congrats!

@A MyLupusTeam Member I'm having a good day. I'm thankful that I get to spend the whole day writing. (Okay, one load of towels so I can shower later. lol)

My doctor is following up with bloodwork. I just couldn’t believe it! I am having a good day so far. How about you?
