I've been diagnosed with a undetermined connective tissue disease and rheumatologist called it "lupus like" but only 1 positive ANA and so many symptoms. I've had every test done imaginable. I'm looking into homeopathic medicine. Anyone have better luck with a DO?

I had 1 high ANA and multiple symptoms. My 2nd ANA 6 months later was also high. I received a diagnosis and was put on medication. After almost 1 year they added a new medication.

The final determination often involves a combination of tests and clinical evaluations, as lupus can produce a wide range of symptoms that vary from person to person.

It took 4 years and 2 rheumatologist, one who was way up there in age and the. 2nd much younger and associated with University hospitals. The only thing that came back positive was ANA and an antichromatin level of 44, high normal 0.9. This is only positive in people with lupus. I got a " you possibly may have lupus". Was started on Plaquenil 200 mg daily, but also on pregabalin and cymbalta. Continue to feel absolutely horrible. Muscle and joint pain so bad in the am, in tears getting ready for work. So tired of feeling bad. Hoping my appointment next week will result in me feeling better.

Have you seen a university medical center rheumatologist for a second opinion? They sometimes have more experience with lupus. You can also search and see if any of the top lupus centers are near you.

Get rechecked and also go to a Lyme clinic. Two of my friends were both told they had lupus, RA etc and actually had Lyme disease. But you need to go to a specialized Lyme clinic they have them in Washington DC and Virginia etc where that is all they do bc most doctors do not know what they are doing.b see a tick bite teither test will not show up as Lyme after so long after a tick bite I think it is 2 weeks and most people have no signs that soon. Good Luck.
