I think my tongue is swollen!? It is not resting in the "usual space", within my teeth. Instead it seems to be resting on top of about 1/3 of my teeth, which is irritating my tongue. ARGH!!!

My tongue does swell occasionally to the point where I have indents where my teeth rest on it. Normally it comes with a flare.

Dry mouth can cause our tongues to get inflamed, Joce, and mine does at times. Yours sounds unusually enlarged, so you may want to get it checked, especially if it's causing any difficulty with breathing, speaking, or swallowing. Angioedema, which can result from certain meds or rarely from lupus, can cause this too.

Yes I’ve had it once, it was scary. I used the concoction suggested by the pharmacist. It’s usually when you’re mouth ulcers are present and tingling/ burning! This too shall pass!

When I am in a flare, I get angioedema, including tongue and throat swelling.
