Advice please
I was diagnosed with tick born illnesses back in 2018 and treated with antibiotics for 7 months. After I came off of the antibiotics & implemented the autoimmune protocol diet (AIP) I gained my strength back slowly. I never was completely recovered & back to my prior state of health but many symptoms were so much better
In 2021 I was back to being pretty sickly again and had to see a new doctor due to insurance. He diagnosed me with Lupus SLE. Since then I've been treated… read more

Consider getting a second opinion with another rheumatologist. Keep in touch with @A MyLupusTeam Member. She may have some worthy suggestions.

They ran a TBD panel on me, not just Borrelia. https://www.treatlyme.net has good articles about testing and treatment. He (Marty. Ross) also has frequent Q&A you can sign up for.
Be sure to continue following up with rheumy but be aware most rheumatologists believe what Dr Alan Steere (Rheum) says that after Lyme is treated it’s no longer the infections making you sick, it’s autoimmune or something else.
Healthy diet is the foundation of treatment for both. You CAN likely get LDN from your rheumy, maybe your PCP but plan on bringing them information about it and how it helps each disease. You may find rheumatologist not very open to Lyme stuff and have to figure out how much of it you can bring up.

I found it! Lol 😆. It was indeed IgeneX and I tested positive for Lyme - Borreliosis.

So around 2015 you were infected and it was 2.5 years until you received treatment. Treatment only lasted 7 months. That wasn’t long enough and maybe not all the right abx to hit all the forms Lyme takes including persister states that typical abx can’t reach.

What kind of TBD tests did you have? Were they done by IgeneX, Galaxy, Vibrant? I have Borrelia (Lyme), Bartonella, Babesia, Anaplasmosis and Tick Borne Relapsing Fever. IgenX did my testing. (It was drawn at a local lab and sent to them.)

I’ll have to get back to you on the rest. Hang in there 🤗
