Fluorescent lights emit UV rays. They cause flares like We are allergic to them. Cover up your skin and use UV sunscreen when you are going to be exposed.
I use very few and dim lights (night lights mostly) unless we have company.
The photosensitivity is eye irritation, bright light eye sensitivity.
Wear sunglasses.
Wishing you good health and no flares!!💝

I heard it's because of the meds we are on for lupus, but it could also just be our body's dealing with so much stress one more is out of the question. I'm the exact same way. I have to wear sunglasses EVERYWHERE and I practically live in the dark now

They effect everyone, even doctors.
I think they should be outlawed.

Any bright lights can cause headaches, especially for people with light sensitivity issues. Fluorescent lights can be especially bad as they flicker, and can be glaring or overly intense.

I experience full blown flare ups after being under florescent lighting too long. For example, when my daughter was in the hospital for a few days and I was with her, I experience a flare up. Started with my face rash and joint pains and moved right on into full blown flare. So be careful and use sunscreen and protective clothing when possible. I was so surprised when I learned that most clothing materials are only offering about a 4 spf while other materials such as polyester and raylon and others offer a lot more. Sunglasses are always a must for me too. Hope your headaches get better. ❤️
