Recently my nail's have started to split horizontally in the middle. I also have indentations horizontally by the nail bed. I’ve always had long beautiful nails and now I’m lucky if I can grow a stub.

Yes! That was one of the things that made me go to the doctor when I got diagnosed with lupus. I went on a whole food plant based diet and in maybe 2 months they stopped breaking and are back to normal. Not as strong and thick as my husband’s nails who can tighten screws with his, but I don’t get them breaking and splitting and they’ve even gotten the shape back
