Welcome Linda.
I believe certain lighting does affect our lupus symptoms and possibly send us down flare lane. Like the sun does.
Because most of us suffer photosensitivity.๐Ÿ’œ

I know that as soon as I get to the clinic under their florescent lights, my skin starts turning bright red, my nose starts running like crazy, and my head starts hurting worse. I've been complaining for 3 years and they have just started switching them out. My last job, I worked at a hotel and I chandeliers over me that had 12 bright bulbs over me and the head maintenance man ordered led bulbs for me and it made a huge difference. You could ask if they could possibly do that just for your area.

Yes, I used to work in a university and actually asked for a switch to LED lights as a workplace accommodation. The switch made a big difference.
