I have had carpal tunnel surgery in the past. I use a simple hand splint at the first sign of wrist pain which allows the wrist to rest. Repetitive motion injuries are very painful, but a hand therapist can help with this problem. You can buy an inexpensive hand splint at most pharmacies or Walmart. This can be very effective in preventing further damage. Best to you Kathalina🦋
