Since so many of us have dry eyes, please check it out if you use eye ointments:

I had issues with my eyes as well, when I was living in East Africa I used eye ointment but since I’ve been back in USA, I use the simple stuff “castor oil” just regular Castor Oil. I place it around the bottom of my eye lid and on the top but not in the eye. It may not be for everyone but it works for me. I have serious allergies so I’m careful what I use.💜
I am trying Systane Preservative Free drops and they do make my eyes feel better. I got some samples from my eyes doctor.
I also see a medical eye doctor twice a year for plaquenol use. I've been taking Plaquenol since 2009. Because it has been such a long use of it I also see a retinologist once a year.
@A MyLupusTeam Member—Our dry eyes and dry mouth are caused by secondary Sjogren's syndrome, autoimmune destruction of the tear and salivary glands.
Not that I know of
I took some eye drops recently and it interacted with my plaquenol and it burnt my eyes so we don't know yet what kind of damage it really done
