Yes, thank you
My husband has that and he'll be on blood thinners for life. He has DVT. But, being on blood thinners can fix clots, AND help any sort of issues regarding heart and strokes. Your bloods thin already, so it probably reduces chances of that other stuff happening. So, it helps reduce clotting everywhere.
RM, we can get autoimmune hepatitis with lupus, though it's uncommon. It's important to avoid any beer/alcohol and any over-the-counter meds, including Tylenol, that you haven't discussed with your liver doctor.
Are you on blood thinners for the DVT?
@crzyredhead---Well said! I think we all agree with your sentiments.😘
You're very welcome! I know it's so scary to have this now, on top of lupus! Clots and blood thinners are frightening. But, my husband's clot might have traveled to his brain, lungs or heart. So we're grateful that it wasn't there! I had a heart attack, I have 3 stents. If I could choose, I'd take treatable DVT. That may sound weird, but the lesser of two evils. I'm so afraid of the heart thing happening to me again. It's genetic. Then getting lupus! It's like MissyMarchand said, we want a day med and pain free! Our day in the sun. No worries about... Did I take all my meds, what's this new symptom mean, this new pain mean?! What next? Why me? We are all the same here, trying to cope, walking by other people that we think are carefree and healthy, but are they? But, judging by how we look isn't a way to a diagnosis! But we're all here and we truly, deeply understand how we all suffer on a daily basis. Sometimes a ray of sunshine beams on us, an oasis of a short time with no worries. I live for that. ❤️
