Good evening family
Generally, I do not chime in these discussions. However, on April 8, 2024 I went ahead an became brave enough to have my total knee surgery. I had trepidation of having the surgery because of the things I heard, insomnia became worse than usual, my fibromyalgia, and lupus was off the chain. Even though I was taking my medications, even my anxiety medi action. I chose to spend 20 day in Rehab afterward, yet coming home I felt alone, anxiety, and having to care for myself along with my dogs. A friend took me out for fresh air, my daughter spending time with me, I felt alive. Talking about the procedure, how I had to submit to depending on others made me angry, have finally admitted how much of a people pleasure I was (even hiding lupus, fibromyalgia, and anxiety. I released all those ills to those who love me, now exploring my dreams has helped me recognize in spite of what my body goes through, laughter, appreciation that I celebrated my 74th birthday ๐ calls, limited visits, but many prayers abd well wishes. I count blessings on blessings. Yes, lupus, fibromyalgia, anxiety, and healing are with me but I have such strong faith in the power of God's UnMerited Favor until, even the gloomy days I see the sunshine beaming through. Life is awesome.
Yes, we often have several, and I have three.
I have RA and lupus
I have MCTD. If this looks unfamiliar to you, it stands for Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. If you have more than one autoimmune disease, this is a term used. I have Lupus and CREST Syndrome. I suffer from gastrointestinal issues. It's a nightmare but I have learned, to a degree, how to deal. How does everyone deal with their diagnosis?
I have lupus and MS. My doctor said a lot of times if you have one then it's very likely you have another.
