Pain that comes with walking and goes away with rest can be caused by narrowing of the arteries in the legs, Kitt, or lumbar spinal stenosis. Muscle and joint inflammation can also cause pain. If there's swelling, there are lots of other possibilities. Please get checked out by your doctor, and I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry you are going through this pain we all know so well. I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then Fibromyalgia. Has your doctor suggested you may have Fibro? One usually follows the other. For me, its the Fibro that is magnified and causes the most pain. For example, the deep aches in the legs, the "crazy legs", the aches down my arms..etc. I must have a buggy on bad days when I am out or a shopping cart to balance and hold myself up as I shop on the okay days. If it is just too bad all the way around, I just stay home. I can suggest trying to stay mobile as much as you possibly can, again, as much as YOU can handle. It helps to build stamina. strength and tolerance. For me, also establishing a cut off or solid sleep/rest schedule. I had to take naps everyday before my sleep schedule, now its rare. Im usually having a bad day if I nap in the middle of the day now. I am anal about it, I had to claim my body, my sanity, and peace of mind! Whine down starts around 12:30ish, absolute shut down is around 4:30ish, no later than 5p. im either on my way or in bed by then. I wake up around 3:50 - 5a. Its a crazy schedule, but I function much better and the pain is better managed because I am now laying in rest mode. I do make exception to family or important events if I feel up to it. This schedule helped relieve stress, mentally and physically! It eliminated feeling guilty all the time because I had to cancel or turn down invites. I take my meds at the same time everyday. I ate on a better schedule, my mind is clearer. At first, it seemed like I wouldnt have a life, but funny thing is, I didnt know I would inspire a lot of people without Lupus to do the same. It sounds odd I know, but it really does help and made a great difference. Im happier. Even if I go to bed and sit up for the next 2 hours, that time is MINE! Same in the mornings, taking that little time, before the zoo opens, made a GREAT impact on my pain levels, activity, and mental strength. When I go to bed later, I definitely feel the difference. Im crankier, mind isnt as clear, I dont get as much done and I ache much more. So, just a share you may want to consider.

I am sure that I have narrowing of my leg arteries. My legs are cold from the knees down. Even if it is 80 degrees outside or inside. I wear knee high socks to bed. Is there anything to make this problem better. I don't have a clue.
