I actually miss having spit lol. Like, everything and I mean everything is dried out and uncomfortable. My mouth feels like it's pastey and I pray my nose isn't stuffed up because they say to stop being a mouth breather and it's not as bad. Hmmph...I've been told Biotene is good to use but haven't tried. For me, hard candy or constantly sipping water has been the only relief I know to do.
Yes I have!!! I know exactly what you’re talking about too. I have SLE and Sjogren’s (sp) I do take Pilocarpine for it. I do take it very sparingly as sometimes it upsets my stomach. But it really works! But I’ve also had salivary stones and a huge tumor that grew so big it was choking me and growing into my brain. You possibly may have had a very small stone that was blocking a duct. When it finally traveled down or you ate something sour, like lemon it popped out. That would have caused the rush of saliva. Now I’m no doc, by any means. But just saying it happens to me. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to message me!

I have horribly dry eyes, nose and mouth.
And sometimes, my mouth waters a lot even though my tongue is always dry and I get sores.
I guess it’s just different for everyone.
Same. I've sjogrens as well. Annoying.
