I was recently diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease. I also have fatty liver disease. I love permanent makeup. The internet has contradictions about it. Some say it's fine and some say it isn't. I'm just not sure what to believe. Permanent makeup makes me look so much more put together and I would hate to stop getting it. I am sick of disease just running my life and stopping me from doing things.

I have had my eyebrows done 3 times and unfortunately it caused an autoimmune response.

@A MyLupusTeam Member They do permanent lipshading now. It looks really nice. It is full lipstick on your lips all the time. The only issue is I have been dealing with mouth ulcers ever since getting it done, so they is frustrating but i know they will eventually go. The lipstick lipshading i have looks nice i will be touching it up a new cinnamon nudes color. I'm excited about. I have tried to make the lipshade last but drinking out of a straw, eating soft foods and trying to eat more cold foods. It helps the color last longer. Maybe you can look for a permanent makeup salon near you if u r interested in lipshading.

@A MyLupusTeam Member your eyebrows look great! I have microbladed brows I love them. They didn't hurt. But my lips did. I guess anything does affect us, but it is nice to look put together without makeup. I have fibro too.

I had my lip line done after having surgery for scleroderma facial distortion. It hurt, allot, didn't last and I can't find anyone doing it anymore, so there must have been issues with it. I did have a lupus flare after, to be expected. I have a scar that outlines my lips so I'm constantly using liner just to look normal. So I don't recommend permanent lip liner but maybe brows would be easier? I would be fearful to try eye liner.
