Yes I’ve experienced this also. Like Bonnie’s answer, I’m retired and I have the option of sitting down and relaxing when this happens.

Yes I do but I have found that if I just try to sit down and relax the issues go away. Granted I no longer work so for me it’s easy.

Yes, experiencing hot spells is a common symptom with lupus. These episodes can include hot flashes, excessive sweating, and low-grade fevers. These symptoms may occur at any time and could be signs of an upcoming lupus flare-up.

When your body temperature spikes during these episodes, it can lead to feeling faint or nauseous. This is particularly concerning because these temperature fluctuations can affect your blood pressure. If you're experiencing these symptoms frequently, it's important to note that they could be related to:
- Active lupus disease activity
- Medication side effects, particularly from corticosteroids
- Changes in hormone levels affecting your body's temperature regulation

Consider tracking when these episodes occur and discussing them with your rheumatologist, as they may need to adjust your lupus management plan.
