Yes, that does open extremely random. Mostly the sun does that.

Hi Krystal. Yes, I’ve gotten weird rashes that seem to come out of the blue. And not the butterfly one. Like elsewhere in the body. Totally random. It usually clears up on its own. Otherwise, I see the regular doctor. Things like hydrocortisone and Benadryl help sometimes. Hope this helps. 💕

Some people experience disc-shaped rashes (called discoid lupus) that can appear on the face, ears, or scalp. These rashes may be bright red or purple in color and can be thick and scaly. Many of these rashes are related to photosensitivity, which affects about half of all people with lupus. This means your skin is extra sensitive to sunlight, which can trigger rashes, fatigue, or increased symptoms. Some MyLupusTeam members report getting pimple-like or hive-like rashes that can itch and burn.
If you notice any new or concerning rashes, it's important to discuss them with your doctor, as they can help determine if they're related to lupus activity and recommend appropriate treatment.

All the time. I thought it would lessen during the cold months but it seems it occurs about the same for me.
