I have had several Er and dr visits abd missed dx for what I felt along was neuropathy and blockages in mt arteries in my lower extremities after 18 months that's the dx and I have had both legs done in the last 10 days to clean my arteries and I feel much better minus the grion soreness. It was a painful gruesome experience to here
It’s a sad situation for everyone these days after help and understanding. We need to be our own doctor .
If you don't get help from your rheumatologist why not find one that will help you?
Raquetyorey, i do the same, i refuse to see some specialist because i think there making a mountain out of a mole hill, but i do all my blood work, but in the end since i get no help from my rhumi i do what i think is best for me since i dont think my rheumatologist takes anything seriously i dont like her attitude. Ive learned to not speak up. I am learning a lot from this group though
We have to advocate for ourselves. Especially when know one listen. Some docs have a horrible bedside manner.
After being diagnosed people would say " you look fine, why are you so down". Long story short, general population don't get it. Some doctors don't get it. Education is useful but still doesn't cover what we are feeling. It seems it's easier to ignore the fact that we feel awful and go on about their own lives.
That's just my opinion, but also my experience.
