Yes Tammy, I am actually scheduled to see my rheumatologist in a week, and my GP in 3 days, so I will see what they say and recommend.

Yes, many people with lupus experience tremors and muscle twitching. These involuntary movements can be caused by lupus affecting your nervous system. They may be constant or come and go throughout the day, and are often more noticeable when you're at rest.

Tremors can be intensified by:
• Stress
• Sleep deprivation
• Strong emotions
• Caffeine consumption Other MyLupusTeam members have shared similar experiences. Some describe it as tiny spasms occurring in different parts of their body, while others experience uncontrollable muscle twitching in their legs, arms, and torso. These symptoms can be particularly disruptive during rest or sleep.

It's important to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider, as they may be able to adjust your treatment plan to help manage these tremors. Some lupus medications that target the immune system and treat inflammation may contribute to these involuntary movements.

@A MyLupusTeam Member I have been getting those spasms or twitches for about 6 months now , just started all of a sudden .. I have lupus like you , and some other autoimmune diseases, but I’ve never experienced those twitches or involuntary little spasms before so it’s good to hear that I’m not alone in that .. I hate that you have to experience that too but just know you’re not alone either .. have you told your doctor about those ? I haven’t and I’m just curious to see what they told you, if you did tell them ?

I get this. I have a weird thing with my legs when I lay down where they either twitch or go numb or I have pain. And sometimes I get weird twitching in my chest that freaks me out. Good luck with yours, I hope it goes away.

I hope everything goes well for you at your doctors visit and you find out what you need to do 😊 I have had RLS , restless leg syndrome for years and it is associated with lupus in fact people who have lupus are more likely to have RLS. I also have peripheral neuropathy which is associated with lupus also 😊 good luck with your doctor appointment hugs 🤗
