I've had sle lupus since 93
I have been living with lupus for 37 years. When I was diagnosed, the books on lupus said that people with lupus nephritis lived about ten years. With newer treatments we have much more hope. Other have lived with lupus for over 40 years, such as @A MyLupusTeam Member. Stay on the side of hope.
What is the life expectancy with lupus?
The good news is that life expectancy for people with lupus has improved dramatically. Today, the five-year survival rate is about 95 percent, meaning most people with lupus live well beyond five years after diagnosis.
