Lasted a minute, my daughter thought she was gonna have call an ambulance. I said no. She helped me up and had to clean up me and everything else… it was horrible and nasty 🤢

Well for one it sounds like the flu but I could be wrong. I don’t take normal meds so I would try Ginger and Turmeric tea. Also would go to the doctor and find out what is wrong. With Lupus there is inflammation so the Ginger and Turmeric helps with that but you still need to know what is wrong. The Ginger actually helps with nausea also. The Ginger and Turmeric combination helps better.

Please go to the ER, Patricia! It sounds like you're dehydrated, since you're falling after having vomiting and diarrhea.

When this happened to my ex, his kidneys were failing. Go see your doctor.

What caused your sudden episode of nausea, dizziness, vomiting, and fainting?

That sounds like an absolutely terrifying experience, and it's completely understandable that both you and your daughter were frightened. The combination of symptoms you described—nausea, dizziness, vomiting, loss of bowel control, and fainting—can be serious warning signs that need immediate medical attention.

These symptoms could indicate several concerning issues:

* Severe dehydration or electrolyte imbalance
* A lupus flare affecting your nervous system
* Medication side effects or interactions
* Low blood counts (which some lupus medications can cause)
* Neuropsychiatric lupus affecting your brain and nerves

The fact that you fell and lost consciousness, even briefly, is particularly concerning. Fainting combined with dizziness, weakness, and loss of bowel or bladder control are symptoms that warrant emergency evaluation.

Please contact your doctor immediately or go to the emergency room if this happens again. Even though the episode passed, it's important to find out what caused it so you can prevent it from happening again and get appropriate treatment.

Your safety matters, and these symptoms shouldn't be ignored—especially if they recur. Your daughter was right to be concerned about calling for help.
