My feet hurt constantly! But I accidentally came apon some advise and it has helped my feet a lot! Not sure who told me this! I got me some compression hose, but they were
Like panty hose material, but I hated them! Then I ordered some compression socks that are just like knee socks! They wash up just like regular socks! Nurses swear by them! They make my circulation better, are warm, help with pain, and make me be able to stay on my feet longer!!! I love gardening! But be aware they are kinda hard to put on but after a while u learn how to find the best way that is easiest! They wash up great,no lint, just throw them in your dark clothes wash! 🧦

Do you experience foot cramping with lupus?

Yes, foot cramping is something many people with lupus experience. Lupus can affect muscles, bones, tendons, joints, and soft tissue throughout the body, which can lead to muscle spasms and cramps in various areas, including the feet.

A MyLupusTeam member described feeling like "the arches of my feet hurt and feel cramped." Others have shared similar experiences with foot pain and cramping sensations.

These cramps might be related to:
- Lupus itself affecting your muscles and soft tissue
- Electrolyte imbalances (low potassium, calcium, or magnesium)
- Dehydration
- Certain lupus medications that can cause cramping as a side effect
- Kidney problems, which can occur with lupus and affect mineral balance

Some strategies that may help include gentle stretching, staying hydrated, applying heat or cold therapy, and ensuring you're getting adequate vitamins and minerals. If the cramping is new, worsening, or significantly affecting your daily life, it's worth discussing with your rheumatology team. They can check for any underlying causes and suggest appropriate treatments.
