I've been feeling really sick the last three days. Every time I eat anything, no matter how big or small, or what if is that I ate, I feel incredibly queasy for hours, basically until I'm hungry again. I haven't puked though. I'm actually surprised anyone can be this queasy without puking, it's that bad. I'm also tired, I'm having trouble sleeping, I feel bloated sometimes, and I'm moody
My period is 8 days late, but I've had both tubes removed and I've had 4 negative pregnancy tests, between… read more

It's possible it's related to lupus, Ar3, but it's worth getting checked out, for sure, as there are lots of possibilities. Please keep us posted.

Could your symptoms of nausea, bloating, fatigue, and sleep trouble be lupus-related?

Yes, these symptoms can absolutely be connected to lupus. Many people with lupus experience digestive issues, with 40 to 60 percent having some type of gastrointestinal problem at some point.

Your specific symptoms could be related to several lupus-connected causes:

* Nausea and abdominal pain are typical lupus digestive symptoms
* Bloating can occur from lupus-related inflammation in your digestive system
* Fatigue is one of the most common lupus symptoms, experienced by 90 percent of people with lupus
* Trouble sleeping is also common, often due to pain, anxiety, or medication effects

The persistent nausea after eating could be from inflammation in your esophagus, intestines, or other parts of your digestive system. Lupus medications like NSAIDs or corticosteroids can also cause stomach issues and nausea.

Your moodiness might be related to lupus-associated anxiety or depression, which are common symptoms of the condition.

You're doing the right thing by going to urgent care tomorrow. They can help determine if this is a lupus flare, medication side effects, or something else that needs attention. Make sure to mention all your symptoms and your lupus diagnosis so they can provide the most appropriate care.

@A MyLupusTeam Member I went to urgent care today. They said my kidney and liver functions were normal based on urine and blood tests. They said I had acid reflux? I'm not having any of the symptoms of that though. They gave me a prescription for zofran and sent me home without real answers :(

They did a urine pregnancy test. They wouldn't do a blood test, which is what I wanted since I already was doing home tests, and the blood test is more sensitive. Their urine tests have the same accuracy as the home tests that I've already been taking so I feel like that was pointless.

So I guess I'll see if I feel better in a few days and if not I'll go to my primary on Monday. I know my primary would at least give me the blood test to make me feel better, and she's so thorough that she would find the real reason I feel this way instead of guessing.

I keep anti-nauseous medication on hand at all times my lupus I’m nauseous many days of the week and there are many days that I eat very little sometimes not at all. It’s the one thing that bothers my doctors is that I don’t have an appetite because of the nauseous. But I do keep anti-nauseous medication you’re not going crazy it could be tied to your lupus absolutely. Because I do have nauseousness with mine and have for years. And on days that I have it, there are days that I can’t eat other days. I can get something small down and no, you don’t throw up with it so don’t go by that measure I’ve had dry heaves with it, but I have. I don’t remember a time when I’ve thrown up with it. Joana
