Members responded with empathy and a wide range of possible causes for leg aching related to lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, including low magnesium, dehydration, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, weather changes, osteoporosis, hypothyroidism, and low vitamin D. Several members shared personal strategies that helped them manage the pain, such as gabapentin, muscle relaxers, heating pads, rest, mild stretching, and staying hydrated with balanced electrolytes. A recurring theme was the importance of checking in with a doctor or rheumatologist to identify the root cause and find the right treatment.

Low magnesium, inflammation, dehydration, fibromyalgia, lupus, RLS are all possibilities, have you shared with your dr? They will be able to point ya in the right direction better than I. My dr prescribed muscle relaxers for days like this. My heating pad and rest also help.

Try to do some mild leg stretches w static holds. Be gentle. Stay well hydrated! Make sure your electrolytes are not off as well. Hope you feel better.

Another possibility is statin-induced myopathy (muscle disease), if you're taking a statin for cholesterol, Karen.
