I get sciatica when really inflamed. I assume the inflammation in my tissues and muscles presses on nerves that result in pain. But definitely assess your other symptoms to rule out a hernia in the area, a kidney stone trying to pass, hip joint issues, a UTI, possible ovarian cyst, or possibly just strain from activity.... lots of things can cause pain in that area.
I also get sciatica my hips hurt my lower back area hurts...then my thigh in the front starts a burning 🔥 and it hurts. I stretch but when I feel good I forget too! Then I go into a flare and it all starts again. Hope you figure it out.
Hello Niranjana,
No my doctor's have not mentioned skin grafting, however since you have brought that possibility to my attention I will ask them about it. Thank you. ❤️
Patricia, the most common cause of pain in the groin area radiating down the thigh is probably osteoarthritis with associated muscular thigh pain, but for us, it could be lupus-related joint inflammation, too. Rarely, high-dose steroids can cause AVN of the hip, causing pain.
Please see your doctor, as a hip x-ray should be helpful, as may physical therapy. Please keep us posted.
@LadyCj--That sounds very frustrating! Have your doctors mentioned the possibility of skin grafting to close the wound? I hope this resolves soon for you.
