I’m sort of concerned that all this I’m having is RA. But she doesn’t seem to think it’s autoimmune related.

This was maybe 3 years ago. I’m not sure. I was not having any issues at that time.

An Anti-CCP test is not a standard marker used to diagnose or track lupus activity. The antibodies more commonly associated with lupus include:

An Anti-CCP test is not a standard marker used to diagnose or track lupus activity. The antibodies more commonly associated with lupus include:
- ANA (Antinuclear Antibody) — a required marker for lupus diagnosis
- Anti-dsDNA — can track lupus disease activity and flares
- Anti-Smith (Anti-Sm) — a strong lupus-specific marker
- Complement proteins C3 and C4 — low levels can indicate active inflammation
A result of 27 on an Anti-CCP test would need to be interpreted by a rheumatologist in the context of your full clinical picture, including your other lab results and symptoms. Joint pain is one of the most common lupus symptoms, affecting around 92% of people with lupus. So the joint and SI pain you're experiencing is very consistent with lupus.
The best step is to discuss this Anti-CCP result with your rheumatologist, who can look at the full picture — your symptoms, other blood work, and history — to determine what's driving your joint pain and whether your lupus is currently active.

Anti-CCP is a marker for rheumatoid arthritis, but it doesn't necessarily mean you have RA.
