AI said it all and I got dry mouth that will not go away. Its the worst thing. Ive had mouth sores, and sores on my lips. Nose sores too when in a flare. Oh this Lupus is aweful but My God is more powerful than that. I use cocconut butter to brush my teeth, I eat ginger which makes me salivate, I also have fennel up my sleeve too which helps with GERD along with ginger. I haven't had nose ulcers in a while but when I do I line my nasal passages with A/D ointment (nothing heavy). I also asked my doctor could I take Zinc 1-2x a week which helps with wound healing. God Bless and I am praying for you.
Great question β and yes, lupus can definitely affect your teeth and oral health in several ways!
Lupus can cause issues such as:
- Mouth sores and ulcers on the lips, tongue, and inside the mouth
- Nose sores that can accompany oral ulcers
