My body has been running hot as of I've been out side in the Oklahoma heat. I can't get cooled down. Today I feel like the inside of my head is boiling, my whole body hurts, and I've vomited 4 times. I've take my medication for my lupus, Tylenol, and nausea medicine nothing has helped. Plus a nose bleed. I don't understand the cause of it. None of my doctors do either, I keep losing balance or loss feeling in my legs. I don't understand much about lupus or POTS other than what I get from Google… read more

Vomiting 4 times, a nosebleed, loss of feeling in your legs, loss of balance, and a head that feels like it's boiling — together, these are serious warning signs that need urgent medical attention. Do not wait. With lupus, the immune system is already working against the body, and medications used to manage it can weaken your ability to fight off infections. Feeling this overheated and unwell — especially after being out in the Oklahoma heat — could mean several things are happening at once, including a serious lupus flare, an infection, or something else that needs to be properly diagnosed in person.

Lupus can cause:
- Fever and overheating that won't respond to Tylenol
- Nausea and vomiting during a flare
- Neurological symptoms like balance issues and numbness in the legs
- A burning or boiling sensation throughout the body

These symptoms together, especially the vomiting, nosebleed, and leg numbness, go beyond what can be managed at home right now.

Please get to an ER. Tell them you have lupus and list every symptom. This is not a "wait and see" moment. 💛

Sadly no I had no one home, or who could watch my children for me. The EMT's won't take you if you have kids unless someone can be with them. I'm doing better now.
