What a journey with your hair — and how amazing that the rice water bar worked so well! Lupus-related hair dryness and breakage is so common, and it can feel like a constant game of trial and error finding what works.

Here are some natural-friendly ideas that MyLupusTeam members have found helpful:

- Coconut oil used as a deep conditioner can help reduce breakage in brittle hair
- Aloe vera shampoos or scalp treatments can help soothe and moisturize
- Baby shampoo is gentle and less stripping for fragile hair
- Brands like Pura D'or and Philip Kingsley Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo have been recommended by members It's also worth avoiding heat styling tools and keeping hairstyles loose to reduce scalp tension, which can worsen breakage.

Since lupus itself can drive hair dryness and loss, it's always a good idea to loop in your doctor or dermatologist — sometimes when lupus is better controlled, hair health improves too!
