Praying for you. Let your doctor know what you are going through.

I've been having some of those symptoms since I had RSV. Definitely get some rest. I can't stand for more than 20 minutes without back pain. I do better when I'm walking. I hope the results of the gastroscopy help your doctors treat your symptoms better and rule out possible cancer.

That's a lot to be dealing with, especially right after a gastroscopy — your body has been through a lot this week. These symptoms together — labored breathing, stomach and lower abdominal pain, arm pain, weakness, and difficulty with exertion — are worth taking seriously, particularly in the context of lupus.

Some of these symptoms can be connected to lupus in the following ways:

- Abdominal pain can be related to lupus inflammation affecting the digestive system
- Upper arm pain and weakness can stem from lupus-related joint or muscle involvement
- Labored breathing can sometimes be linked to lupus affecting the lungs or chest lining (pleuritis)
- Fatigue and exertion intolerance are very common lupus symptoms Given that the gastroscopy was very recent, some stomach discomfort may be expected. However, labored breathing combined with these other symptoms is something that should not be ignored.

Please contact your rheumatologist or doctor as soon as possible — or seek urgent care if the breathing difficulty worsens. It's always best to report any new or worsening symptoms right away so they can assess whether something more serious is happening.

I get it! I just pace myself. I take frequent breaks. I've gotten to the point that everything will be there when I can get it done. But it's important to keep your Dr informed. If your breathing worsens maybe a specialist should be seen.
