When the abdominal pains first started, they were unbearable. As of this month, I have had them for a year and no one can seem to pin point exactly what it is. I had the abdominal pain before my diagnosis. My GI Specialist finally told me that he's pretty sure that it is linked to my lupus, but that's about all we know about it so far. My rheumatologist has no idea what it could be. Today, the severity of the pain fluctuates, but there is never any point in time when I never feel it.
Yea it sounds like the same thing! My hairdresser has a similar pain and its her gallbladder so you might want to get that tested just to make sure. It just takes a HIDA scan. But I got thay done and my gallbladder was fine. Then we took a few scopes and dcans and realized i have severe organ inflammation including peritonitis and pleurisy. I encourage you to read about them! It helped me
Yes! My doctor first sent me to a GI specialist i had a few scopes, scans, and biopsies done but I kept telling them I didn't have GI problems! Turns out it is a combination of peritonitis(inflammation of thr abdominal lining) and pleurisy (inflammation of the lung lining) it was so bad the first 4 months before diagnosis that I couldnt move from the couch.
@toys thats exactly where my pain is.
Yeah, same for me too.
These were around before diagnosis or any medicine was taken, it was in fact the beginning symptom that started it all
