Has anyone had experience with Enbrel injections for RA? Any sides effects? I know everyone is different.

It sounds like there may be a mix-up here! Enbrel (etanercept) is not typically used for lupus management, so it may not be the most relevant treatment to explore in this context.

If biologics or injections are something being considered, belimumab (Benlysta) is an FDA-approved biologic specifically for lupus. It's available as either an IV infusion or a self-administered subcutaneous injection at home. Some common side effects of belimumab injections that MyLupusTeam members have reported include:

- Fatigue — some members felt wiped out for days after treatment
- Nausea
- Headache/migraine
- Injection site reactions
- Trouble sleeping

One MyLupusTeam member shared that while the injections caused fatigue, they also noticed positive changes in their skin and joints over time.

It's always worth discussing biologic options with a rheumatologist to find the best fit. 💙

A rare side effect of Enbrel is a lupus-like reaction, Melissa, so you may want to talk to your doctor about how significant that could be. There are many other med options for RA, so that may be worth exploring.

I hope you get good control of your RA and that your lupus is stable.😘
