RNP antibodies can be seen in both mixed connective tissue disease and lupus. It's required to diagnose MCTD.

I had RNP antibodies and my progress since being diagnosed has been slow. I was on modified bedrest for 7 months. I'm still only able to do 2 or 3 ten minute walks a week and I need 48 hrs between walks to recuperate. I've been on prednisone and hcq since March and have had 23 weeks of Benlysta (I started the biologic later than the oral meds due to infection) .

I have a friend who had elevated Ana and RNP. I don’t think I have ever been tested for RNP. She is having joint pain.
