Found out that I'm severely allergic to Plaquenil , whole body rash with hives and swollen face after three weeks of being on it (rash lasted two weeks too). Rheumy now starting me on the Aralen (Chlorquine). He said they are similar but I might have luck with this new one. Anyone out there that was allergic to plaquenil that was able to take the Chloroquine?
I'm on dialysis, would I be able to try this drug and if so when would be best to take according to my dialysis schedule?
You would have to talk to your doctor that handles the dialysis

That's not a stated side effect in the info leaflet.
Does anyone else get this and should I make my consultant aware?
side effects and risks concern me. I was switched from plaquenil to Aralen. It seems to be harsh on my stomach. Anyone have imput on that also?
