I cannot handle the stomache issues that Celebrex does to me.
Tylenol is an option if you don't have any significant kidney or liver disease.
I was just diagnosed with SLE in August 2015. I'm taking Plaquenil, for a few months now, and my Rheumatologist has been hoping it'll help my chronic pain. It hasn't. She said give it more time but prescribed Celebrex. I haven't started it yet, because other meds like Mobic, Ibuprofen, flexaril, and a host of others, haven't worked in the past, before diagnosis. So I'm doubtful. Any suggestions for a med that might work? Or does the Plaquenil really take months before I see improvement?

Has anyone used celebex for severe joint pain and lupus? I have never tried it. Was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this medicine?
Anyone take it? Does it help with pain and stiffness? Pros and cons? Thanks
I reached out to Henry. He has not responded. I hope he is ok. 🙏🏻💜🤷♀️
I use to take mobic, and it's milder for me that ibuprophen, but I prefer the ibuprofen due to better pain relief. I do take it with food.
Has anyone tried Tumeric Curcumin? I got off plaquenil, wasn’t helping and I want to try Tumeric.

Two days in the hospital ruled out heart, lung or esophagus issues. Only treatment is high doses of Motrin for possible inflammation in chest. This has helped some with getting a deeper breath but pressure is still there, fitgue and brain fog.
I've been getting these recently and I thought it was the Lupus - I don't feel so alone - Glad the question was asked
Honestly, I take both for the same reason. I’m hoping to wean off the I uprofen, but idk
Also I take prednisone 5mg in a flare up & hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day. Does anyone take all these meds or some? What can you share with me.
Egads! That’s terrible!
Thanks for answering. I’m more concerned now than ever!
I am having problems with the muscles in my right hip. It sometimes effect the way I walk or stand. Is there anyone having this problem? Is it a part of Lupus?
