My Dr. Switched me to Celebrex from prednisone. It is not helping at all. Woke up this morning with such a sore foot I could hardly walk. Does anyone else have experience with Celebrex? Does it help with your pain management?
can Celebrex be taken safely if on anti convulsant medications such as Lamictal or Keppra. Since they have some of the same side effects and will it cause them to quit working or mess up the levels in the system.

I was just diagnosed with SLE in August 2015. I'm taking Plaquenil, for a few months now, and my Rheumatologist has been hoping it'll help my chronic pain. It hasn't. She said give it more time but prescribed Celebrex. I haven't started it yet, because other meds like Mobic, Ibuprofen, flexaril, and a host of others, haven't worked in the past, before diagnosis. So I'm doubtful. Any suggestions for a med that might work? Or does the Plaquenil really take months before I see improvement?
Has anyone used celebex for severe joint pain and lupus? I have never tried it. Was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this medicine?

I am freaking out tonight! I had a severe reaction to Celebrex today. I have had it with Asa, Ibuprofen, and Prilosec! I did not develop these reactions until diagnosis of overlapping CTD. Does anyone else have drug sensitivity or reactions? It was a 3 day delay and I thought for sure I was going to be hospitalized. DR spoke about Rush procedure prior to this set back.
Help! I can't take prednisone because I am allergic to it and Celebrex is not working for my pain and inflammation. Is there anything that I can request from my rheumatologist when I go to see him on Thursday. Also I want to stop my Plaquenil because I am having nightmares, horrible acne and my hair is falling out but not sure what other meds are good. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! TIA
