I was just diagnosed with SLE in August 2015. I'm taking Plaquenil, for a few months now, and my Rheumatologist has been hoping it'll help my chronic pain. It hasn't. She said give it more time but prescribed Celebrex. I haven't started it yet, because other meds like Mobic, Ibuprofen, flexaril, and a host of others, haven't worked in the past, before diagnosis. So I'm doubtful. Any suggestions for a med that might work? Or does the Plaquenil really take months before I see improvement?

Has anyone used celebex for severe joint pain and lupus? I have never tried it. Was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this medicine?
Anyone take it? Does it help with pain and stiffness? Pros and cons? Thanks
I reached out to Henry. He has not responded. I hope he is ok. 🙏🏻💜🤷♀️
I use to take mobic, and it's milder for me that ibuprophen, but I prefer the ibuprofen due to better pain relief. I do take it with food.

My Dr. Switched me to Celebrex from prednisone. It is not helping at all. Woke up this morning with such a sore foot I could hardly walk. Does anyone else have experience with Celebrex? Does it help with your pain management?
