I use to take Benlysta (IV Infusion), Methotrexate (Injection), Plaquenil, and Methylprednisone, but my Systemic Lupus was continuously attacking my heart and causing pericarditis and also caused permanent damage to my heart valves. My doctor said that I needed to move to something a lot stronger. I am now on Benlysta (IV Infusion), CellCept (2000 MG Daily), Plaquenil, and Methylprednisone. I'm curious if others know how low their immune system was when they were on CellCept. Did anyone get sick… read more
My Rheumatologist has prescribed Cellcept for my Lupus. I am concerned about all the side effects. I would like to hear from people who have taken it.
I’ve been on celllcept for about 8 years. Lupus nephritis. I’ve been able to tolerate it fairly well though at first it caused nausea. CKD has been in check over this time.
My rheumatologist is thinking of putting me on one of these two medications. I've been reading about them, but want to go with the one that has the fewest side effects. I also want to know which one would be better for rashes and other skin problems?
Typically Rheumatologist prescribe cellcept if skin problems are a prominent issue or symptom that you are experiencing. It is the most helpful for skin rashes.
Has anyone being on Cellsept? I’d like to know how it works in general and what is your exp . Everyone responded differently I’m sure . Advice on what to expect and what we’re the biggest side effects and is there any interactions with other meds such as BP meds . Thank you team

best of luck and thank you for sharing.
It gave me bad memory problems and I'm going back to rheumy in October..any advice?
Keep a daily journal.
I am being switched from Methotrexate to Cellcept, and then to add 200mg of Plaquenil back in in a week if I tolerate cellcept. Going slow with cellcept 250mg twice a day. Rheumatologist feels I have a CTD with an underlying myositis and lupus because of my elevated CK. Prednisone has brought it down, now only on 7mg. All my warriors give my the scoop on cellcept, the good,,bad, ugly, and has it helped your symptoms, if so, in what ways.
Does anyone take celcept with their plaqunil and predisone if so did it help you and did you have side edfects?
I took cellcept for almost a year along with prednisone and plaquenil. It gave me terrible insomnia and made my heart race but it did help my breathing issues and fatigue somewhat. But the insomnia… read more
Has anyone been put on the chemo pill as part of their treatment program?
I haven't found it to be worth it, but some people benefit greatly. I will say that the drug is extremely expensive depending on your insurance. Luckily mine is good and I already hit my max this year… read more
