I went to my Dr to let her know that the Celexa she gave me us not working, I'm still in constant daily pain.... Instead of trying Lyrica or Gabapentin she prescribed Cymbalta.... 😟😞
It helped for a little while but LDN works best.
My doc wants to switch me to Cymbalta bc it doesn’t interact with Amitriptyline (sp?) and other meds. Yet, I have been doing so well on my Effexor, I hate to try an unknown drug, especially having so many reactions to meds.
So, I was wondering if anyone could share the good, bad, and/or ugly experiences they have had with it.
I take it and it helps my pain and depression
Fluoxetine (prozac) it helps. I also do yoga and palatis
Cymbalta for pain, anyone?
Does it help with stomach pain and headache?
I have them right now and I don’t want to exacerbate it
Anyone know of any good antidepressants that can also help with joint pain, neuropathy, and hot "flashes"/burning sensations? The only two that come into mind that I can think of are Cymbalta and Effexor. I'm thinking of asking my doctor about Cymbalta, but I'd like to know if anyone has either tried that one or know of any others. And what side effects, if any, do you experience (weight changes, fatigue, dizziness/confusion, hair loss, etc)
Also, which ones(s) is best for extreme panic attacks… read more
My doctor put me on a low dose of Gabapentin. It works well for me
I recently got diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and my doctor put me on Cymbalta because "it should help with pain." Does anyone have any experience with it?
I took this years ago it was helpful, however I had the hardest time coming off of it I felt like I was dying for days I would cry for no reason, scream and yell which is not my character and it felt… read more
Discovered several small bruises on my body today. They are not in the high traffic typical areas. I have 4 on the underside of my right forearm and a few more on my left upper thigh. I have been ill the last couple weeks and thought it was a flare but all of my recent labs appear stable, the only noticeable change is that I started Cymbalta 2 weeks ago.
Anyone deal with this?
@jean5236 I’ve got them down the back of both lower legs (for three plus years). Not on prednisone or other lupus meds and they started before hydroxychloroquine 🤷🏻♀️
What medication do you take? Does the medication stop the foot neuropathy from further damage?
I’ve been given plaquenil, Gabapentin, and Cymbalta. Any info is so much appreciated.
I have peripheral neuropathy in feet, legs, hands and arms. I take 600mg x 3 a day. I am also on plaquenil. Still have the pain, especially behind knees.
I was prescribed Tizanidine for my Lupus and Fibromyalgia symptoms along with effexor. Does anyone else take these? Do they work? Side effects? I haven't started them yet and I'm looking for opinions. I have a very hard time going to sleep and staying asleep. It's causing a great amount of stress and depression.
I would love to hear how this works for you!
Has anyone been taking Agomelatine? I've been switched to this from Xanax to help with depression and anxiety and I'm not familiar with this drug. Google isn't giving much and I'd rather hear person's responses rather than studies data
I am on escitalopram for my anxiety
