I’ve been experiencing throat and neck pain for some time. I can press on my neck, a little above my trachea, and will feel pain that also radiates to my right ear. Also, when I swallow liquid, I have a sharp pain in my throat and the back of my neck. The pain is present with solids but doesn’t radiate the same as with liquids. Oh, and it’s usually coupled with very tight trap muscles. Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks y’all! I hate that others experience this but I’m glad it’s not just in my head (which is how my doctors make me feel).
I have APS/LUPUS and found out that I also suffer with TMJ. I am in need of oral surgery including an extraction. My dentist wants me off ELIQUIS for a couple of days prior to. My hematologist gave me a box of lovenox and told me to stop my eliquis and take the lovenox 4 days before the procedure. I have NEVER TAKEN lovenox and wanted to know has anyone had to stop one blood thinner and temporarily take another ; so that you can have a medical procedure done?
Yes it is a common practice. They want to make sure you don't bleed out.
I have been on ELIQUIS for 17mos without any serious problem. I was rushed to the ER on 4 days ago (was admitted) for possible STROKE. Once all the test were completed, no clots found and no evidence of damage from a stroke. The on call Neurologist said it appears to have been a TIA. Now he and my hematologist have advised me to now take an aspirin (81mg) once a day with the ELIQUIS. Now my RHEUMATOLOGIST wants me on warfarin to treat my ANTIPHOSPHOLIPID SYNDROME(stating that is the correct med… read more

Hi My Warrior Brothers/Sisters, I have gotten COVID again; Thank GOD it's not as bad as the 1st time. However it still has me with a fever, chills, strong cough & sore throat. My PA prescribed me this new med called PAXLOVID, that is for High Risk covid positive patients. The doctor did tell me that it may increase the effects of My ELIQUIS; and for me to look out for signs of internal bleeding. So of course that makes me very skeptical. There's that plus the fact that it is NOT FDA APPROVED but… read more
Sorry sorry, Toni! I have not had the meds and can’t advise.
But I can pray for you.
I was in the hospital last month (early July) for a T.I.A. I am 51 and my cycle comes on every 3/4 mos. But while I was in the hospital my cycle came on. It lasted 4 days and guess what?!? 20 days later it came on AGAIN and its actually med/heavy. so I'm having 2 periods in 1 month(20 days apart). I'm on eliquis have been for over a year(without any problems). When I was discharged the neurologist told me to add 1 baby aspirin (once daily) with my eliquis. I did not do that & I'm glad I didn't… read more

I am currently needing to decide whether or not to go back on Lovenox. Ideally I would but the issue is I have had several internal bleeds from the Lovenox. So I have to decide to risk clots or do I take the med and risk a major bleed? Stressful.
