Is it normal to experience random pains flitting here and there? So for example I’ll just be sat watching tv and I’ll get a sharp pain in my rib, then a zap in my leg, a sting in my toe, a twinge in my hip and the saga continues 😂 hopefully I’m not going mad and someone can relate!
I also have fibromyalgia!
My period and lupus have been ganging up on me. About 3 days before I get my period I have pain and fatigue with cramps and bloating. To the point of being dizzy and shaky. I had to leave work because i felt like i was going to pass out. Also my period has been coming more frequent which means more flares. I think I'm pre menopausal. I see my doctor in July.
My periods were like that. I went on a vegan, mostly whole food diet with lots of greens and omega. 3s. It took 14 months but my periods finally normalized. They are a little longer than I’d like (7-8… read more
Yes, both are autoimmune diseases, and those of us with lupus are more prone to other autoimmune illnesses, unfortunately.
Most of my issues are gastrointestinal, but i notice if I go even just a day without a bowel movement I have severe lower back pain. Anyone relate?
Everyday I wake up with bowel / bowel pain at 5 am and it is not resolved until I moved my bowel. I take pericolace and eat foods that have fiber. Especially fresh vegetables.
I am not sure if it's related to lupus or not. I get really bad muscle spasms mostly in my legs..so bad it brings me to tears. I do get them sometimes in my abdomen as well. My hands/fingers and toes cramp up at time as well. Just wondering if anyone else has had this. I do drink alot of water so I don't think it's from dehydration. ...
This site is a god send so nice to be able to discuss with people who can relate.

Is anyone being treated by the VA for your Lupus & related issues?
Yes..still get outside care additionally. Sometimes the VA has limited knowledge on how to treat Autoimmune diseases.
Since the beginning of 2017, I have been under a lot of stress. Job related, home related, relationship related, as well as health related stress. I can't seem to find a way to deal with it, and it is starting to stress out my fiancee as well, who only wants to help me. I want to go for walks, or go hiking, but due to lupus, am either too tired to do it, or because of my job, not enough time in a day to do it. I've started eating junk food because of it, and I know it needs to stop asap. I am… read more
