I went through an aggressive treatment for Hep C 10 years ago and my husband is convinced that it has something to do with my ending up with Lupus. He also thinks it could be from moving from Colorado at 9,600 ft altitude, back to sea level. I dont think so but I agreed to ask the community.
@A MyLupusTeam Member thanks you are correct , you just don't know
Yes I had two treatments for hep c now I have lupus...... What meds did you take?
For hep C I did interferon and riboviri for six months. It was horrible!!! Plus back in 2004, there was only a 10 percent chance it would work. I am happy to repot that it did work and my virql load is still zero. It's one one reasons I am having such a hard time coping with Lupus. There's no cure and apparently I will be in pain and in a sate of mental confusion on qnd off forever. Im sorry I am being so bleak right now. I'm flaring and having a huge pitty party for myself today. I'mm new to all this. I hope you are doing well and I am sending prayers your way.
@A MyLupusTeam Member Im talking to my mother to get tested for lupus I really think she has it because she had all the issues I have had and have plus no one else in my family has lupus she's looking for a rhymatologist in florida where she lives.
I have hep B but have never had treatment and I have lupus I don't believe the treatment for hep c is related to getting lupus but you never know. I know people who have lupus who don't have hepatitis. It's usually hereditary lupus I think my mother has lupus and was never properly diagnosed sometimes it skips a generation or 2-3
