Yes I do . I have to cover with sunscreen .I found that Neutrogena makes a weightless spray that doesn't make you sticky. I spray all over before I dress . I have lots of hats , which I really used to hate but have accepted and am kinda getting used to. There are some very cool websites that sell awesome clothing , hats etc.. coolibar & Sunday afternoon are 2 of them . It's sucks I kno but it's better than the itchy rashes , they take forever to go away too. Believe me ...I feel your pain

My sun and light sensitivity have become increasingly challenging since this is the first spring I have had this symptom. I got a rash on my arms just by being outside for 10 minutes. But I live in Alaska and this is a strong sun season time of year. SPF is not enough to keep the rash off my face even with a Smokey the Bear hat on. But, I got some SPF fabric clothing items that really help. I got a hat that allows me to close off my face, except for my eyes, a gater neck scarf I can pull up over my lower face, and a mask I can use when driving. I know it sounds Sci Fi, but it gives me back a lot of freedom to be outside and drive my car without suffering the face rash. It's worth it. There are so many people today protecting their face because of fear of skin cancer, no one really see me as odd, but maybe that is just Alaska. Here's the deal. Even if you don't get a rash from the sun or light, it is still kicking up the inflammation response in your body if you have lupus. So it's not about the rash as much as doing everything I can to lower inflammation response.

Yes that and inflammation within. I now use lots of sunscreen and hats. If I don't want that grease feeling I make sure I'm covered.
