I've been on cellcept, plaquenil (2009) and prednisone (almost a year w 2 major flares). I'm scared. The next step for me is Ratuxin. How often do I receive it. Side effects any of you have experienced? Anyone decide to not take it? Any advice/comments welcome.

Rituxin is an infusion, usually given once a week for 3 or 4 weeks. Each infusion lasts 4-1/2 to 5 hours from start to finish. First they will give you 2 or 3 shots into your IV for nausea and to help you relax. Then about 1/2 hour later they'll start the infusion. Just make sure they start the drip slowly. When they sped mine up, I got lightheaded and dizzy. As soon as they slowed it down I was okay. Give the infusions time to see if they work for you. They should help your energy level. Let me know how it works!

I did not have long term results but did have some short term relief. I think it's worth a try, especially if your dr recommends it. I'll be praying for you!
